Superintendent interviews dates
January 25, 2012 - Chuck Hunt
Oops. We sure don’t like making mistakes in the paper, but every once in a while a boo-boo sneaks through. OK, I can hear the snickering as you respond with “One?” And once in a while it is a serious error. That happened two weeks ago in the Register dated Jan. 16. A story on page 3 tells about the search for a new Blue Earth Area School District superintendent. As part of that story it lists that the three finalists for the BEA top post will be interviewed on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Feb. 21, 22 and 23. That is correct. But, on page 4 in the From the Editor’s Notebook column about the superintendent search it says the interviews will be on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Feb. 24-26. That is incorrect. Especially so since there is no Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday Feb. 24-26. So, just to clarify, the interviews are set for Feb. 21-23. One person to be interviewed each of those days. And to be clear, those interviews are open to the public. And, there is a public forum for each candidate at 4 p.m. each of those three days. Not only is the public allowed to attend that 4 p.m. forum, they are urged to attend. It is your chance to see, hear and question each one of the finalists. Don’t miss that chance.
