Winnebago The angels came Oct. 10, 2012, early morning at the Mapleton Community Home to take Duane F. Marsh, age 71, of Winnebago to his heavenly home.
Funeral Services were held Oct. 13, 2012, at 11 a.m. at First United Methodist Church in Winnebago. The Rev. Durene Cornell officiated. Burial was in Riverside Cemetery, Winnebago. Visitation time was one hour before the service at the church.
He was born June 16, 1941, at Winnebago, the son of Clyde and Rena (Hynes) Marsh. He grew up and then graduated from Winnebago High School in 1960, and from Mankato Vocational in sales and agriculture in 1968. He worked for WFS for 40 years and retired in 2001.

He is survived by his wife, Ellen, of 46 years; daughters, Jolene Lewis (fianc, Dennis Baxter), of Winnebago, and Jerrie (Dale) Sorgatz, of Delavan; sisters, Ellen Mae Wier, of Colorado, Ramona Swan, of Mapleton, and Barbara (Alvin) Floden, of Waldorf; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Jennie Marsh; parents; brothers, Dale and Dennis Marsh; and brother-in-law, Bud Swan.
