Blue Earth George Sinn, age 94, of Blue Earth, passed away Sunday, July 7, 2013, at Hillcrest Health Care Center in Mankato.
Memorial Services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, July 16, 2013, at Jacobsen & Winter Funeral Home in Blue Earth with Pastor Janet Crissinger-Clark officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
Jacobsen & Winter Funeral Home in Blue Earth is assisting the family with the arrangements.
George Harry Sinn was born in Blue Earth on Oct. 5, 1918, to William "Bill" and Cora (Leith) Sinn. He had an older brother, Leith, and a younger sister, Winifred. George has spent his entire life in Blue Earth except for a short period of time in the U.S. Coast Guard in Port Angles, Wash., during WWII.
George and Helen Breedlove married on Nov. 15, 1941, at the First Methodist Church in Brownsdale. They worked, lived and raised their three children, Robin, Rolin and Roxie in Blue Earth.
George cherished the family and friends in his life. He loved to flower garden, hunt and fish. He especially enjoyed playing sequence, cribbage and 500 with friends and family. He also made many special trips to Upper Red Lake and Lake of the Woods with his grandsons to catch fish.
George is survived by his children, Robin Sinn, of Germany, Rolin (Roberta) Sinn, of Blue Earth, and Roxie Sinn, of Grand Marais, grandchildren, Anne (Andreas) Guthling, Andrea Sinn, Renania Sinn, Rene Sinn; and Ryan Sinn, Robert Sinn, Renae (Rob) Miller, Richard Sinn; great-grandchildren, Amadeus Guthling and Amos Guthling; sister-in-law, Mary Breedlove, of Maplewood; nephews, Curtis (Elizabeth) Breedlove and Bill Sinn; and niece, Diana (Jack) Robertson.
George was preceded in death by his wife; parents; brother; and sister.
