The Blue Earth Area Buccaneers capped off their fifth match in seven days with a big win at Lake Crystal-Wellcome Memorial last Thursday night.
The Bucs blasted the Knights by a score of 61-15.
BEA won nine of 14 matches by either a fall or a forfeit, taking the "W" and keeping pace with some of the conference's top competition.

LCWM got on the scoreboard first when the Buc's Davis Sunken suffered a rare loss by a fall to Trayton Hewitt 106 pounds.
However, the Bucs peeled off wins in the next six matches to take a big 37-6 lead.
Max Ehrich pinned Tyler Ash at 113 pounds to get the ball rolling.
Caden Ochsendorf then added an 11-5 decision at 120, Koby Nagel pinned Blaine Zernechel at 126, Jaxen Klinkner pinned Brenden Jones at 132, Dalton Nagel won by forfeit at 138, Cole Klinkner pinned Tristan Jones at 145 and Zach Buseman took a 13-1 major decision over Avery Northquest at 152.
The Knights had a pair of wins, with Dominic Whitlow suffering a 10-5 loss to Elijah Northquest at 160 pounds and Wyatt Tungland losing by a fall to Jeremiah Colon at 170.
That made the score 37-15 in favor of BEA. But, it was all Buccaneers from there on.
Jesus Quintero pinned Matthew Thofson 182 pounds, with both Jordan Huse at 195 and Jared Armon at 220 gaining wins by forfeit.
And, BEA's Trevor Oppedal capped off the night's match with a 22 second pin of Blake Stenzel at 285 pounds.
This week, the Buccaneers will host a Big South Conference Dual on Friday, as the East Division champions take on the West Division champs. BEA 50,
St. James Area 17
The Blue Earth Area Buccaneer wrestling team took sole possession of first place in the Eastern Division of the Big South Conference with a decisive 50-17 win over the St. James Saints on Friday, Jan. 27.
The Buccaneers never trailed in the match, although it was close early on.
Davis Sunken got the Bucs going with a 10-2 major decision over Troy Parulski at 106 pounds, but Max Ehrich lost a close 6-3 battle at 113 to Sam Kulseth and BEA led 4-3.
After Caden Ochsendorf won by a forfeit at 120 pounds and Koby Nagel lost a 12-2 major decision to Jose Nelson Cuellar at 126, BEA's lead was 10-7.
But then the Bucs took over and won the next four matches and had a 29-7 lead.
Jaxen Klinkner scored a 12-0 major decision over Landon Hoppe at 132 pounds, Dalton Nagel won by forfeit at 138, Cole Klinkner defeated Tallin Johnson 13-6 at 145 and Zach Buseman pinned Max Svalland at 152.
The Saints' Jacob Brey scored a 9-1 major decision over the Bucs' Dominic Whitlow at 160 pounds, but Wyatt Tungland pinned Anthony Rodriguez at 170 and Jesus Quintero pinned Peyton Engelking at 182 and the score stood at 41-11.
The Saints got their final six points when Ruben Suarez pinned Buccaneer Jordan Huse at 195.
BEA ended the match with an 8-4 decision won by Jared Armon over Shawn Hillesheim at 220 pounds and Trevor Oppedal pinning Frank Suarez at 285.
Final score stood at 50-17 in BEA's favor.
