Richard F. Jahnke, 58

Elmore Richard (Ricky) Fred Jahnke, 58 years old, of Elmore, passed away, unexpectedly, on Wednesday, Feb. 14, 2018, at his home in Elmore. A funeral/memorial service will be held at Elmore United Methodist Church in Elmore, on Saturday March 10, 2018, at 11 a.m., the Rev. Dr. Mark Brickzin of United Methodist Church of Elmore officiating. Visitation will be held at Elmore UMC on Saturday, March 10, 2018 one hour prior to the service. Inurnment will take place at Riverside Cemetery of Blue Earth at a later date.

Richard was born April 29, 1959 in Blue Earth, the son of Bennie and Loretta Jahnke. He went to school in Blue Earth and Elmore; and, he earned his Commercial Driver's License so he could drive for Eagle Trucking.

In addition to trucking, Richard loved to fish. And, among his favorite things to do, was having an annual family get together each June, and, he would make the brats.

Richard is survived by his wife, Marlene, of Elmore; sons, Gary Fisher, Albert Fisher, and Roman Fisher; daughters, Misty Madsen, and Tracy Jahnke; brother, Bennie G. Jahnke; sisters, Kathy Cobb, Sharon K. Burkhart, and Susan Sullivan; uncles, Lloyd Hinton, and Lorman [Bub] (Beverly) Jahnke; as well as many members of his extended family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Bennie and Loretta Jahnke; uncles, George Jahnke, Ralph Jahnke, Larry Jahnke, Alan Ferguson; and aunts, Fay Jahnke, Alvina Jahnke, Anna Ferguson and Helen Hinton; and brothers-in-law, Tom Cobb, and Ron Mollenhauer.
