Blue Earth Area used their speed, quickness and athleticism to overcome the taller Fairmont Cardinals and take home a 71-56 victory last Thursday evening.

"We knew that Wyatt Frank would be tough for us to handle inside," BEA head coach Colby Swanson said referring to the 6'7 Cardinal center who finished with 16 points. "We tried to make it tough for him and make him work for everything he got."

The Bucs held on to a slim 32-30 lead with less than one minute remaining in the first half. Free throws by Grant Strukel and Gavin Storbeck and Zach Hermann's long range three allowed the Bucs to head to intermission with a 38-30 lead.
