APRIL 16, 2019

1. All members were present. The pledge of allegiance was recited.

2. Approved synopsis and official proceedings of the April 2, 2019 regular and drainage meeting.

3. Approved agenda of April 16, 2019.

4. Students participating in Boy/Girl County attended the meeting.

5. Approved hiring Melissa Sonnek as Jail Programmer in the Sheriff Department.

6. Approved Resolution 19-CB-13 declaring Faribault County in a state of emergency for conditions resulting from the winter storm event of April 11, 2019. Commissioners Groskreutz, Loveall, Roper, Warmka, and Young voted yes.

7. Adopted Resolution 19-CB-14 declaring a state of emergency due to conditions resulting from the spring flood event of March 2019. Commissioners Groskreutz, Loveall, Roper, Warmka, and Young voted yes.

8. Approved that the attorney for the county offer a payment of up to $125,000 to Northern Lines Contracting and if the unfinished work that is identified on the agreed upon list with ISG Engineer Charles Brandle is completed within 10 working days, to sign a substantial completed certificate as of that date.

9. Adopted Resolution 19-CB-15 allowing the repurchase of Parcel No. 29.221.0010 by William J. Vandeer pursuant to Minnesota Statute 282.241 to 282.324. Commissioners Groskreutz, Loveall, Roper, Warmka, and Young voted yes.

10. Approved requests of G. Paschke and L. Olson to attend a 2-day MN Assoc. of Assessing Officers seminar in St. Cloud; L. Frommie to attend a 1-day South Central MN Emergency Preparedness conference in Mankato; D. Wick to attend a 1-day Road Maintenance training and demonstration in Rochester; B. Bonin and M. Purvis to attend a 3-day Combat pistol and carbine training in Owatonna; D. Esser and C. Lewis to attend a 2-day Legal Description workshop in Fairmont; D. Esser to attend a 2-day Property Tax Management Billing training in Waite Park.

11. Approved payment of the following bills: Auditor warrants totaling $228,109.10; ACH-EFT payments totaling $532,852.21; and audit/auxiliary totaling $215,252.41.

Discussion was held concerning the following:

1. During public comment Lura Township Chair John Terhune met regarding issue on County Road 13 and Al Thielfoldt met regarding a property tax issue on his parcel in Blue Earth.

2. D. Fellows met regarding central services business.

3. M. Lore met regarding drainage business

Complete minutes are on file in the Central Services Office.

The meeting was adjourned for April 2019.

NOTICE AND ORDER FOR HEARING ON PETITION FOR DESCENT OF PROPERTY

A Petition for Determination of Descent has been filed with this Court. The Petition represents that the Decedent died more than three years ago, leaving property in Minnesota and requests the probate of Decedent's

last Will (if any), and the descent of such property be determined and assigned by this Court to the persons entitled to the property.

Any objections to the Petition must be filed with the Court prior to or raised at the hearing. If proper, and no objections are filed or raised, the Petition may be granted.

IT IS ORDERED and Notice is further given, that the Petition will be heard on July 30, 2019, at 10:30 a.m., by this Court at 415 N. Main St., Blue Earth, Minnesota.

1. Notice shall be given to all interested persons (MINN. STAT. 524.1-401) and persons who have filed a demand for notice pursuant to Minnesota Statutes section 524.3-204.

2. Notice shall be given by publishing this Notice and Order as provided by law and by: Mailing a copy of this Notice and Order at least 14 days prior to the hearing date.
