Brian R. Eastman, 69

Winnebago Brian Roy Eastman, age 69, of Winnebago passed away Sunday, Jan. 26, 2020, at the United Hospital District in Blue Earth. A memorial service was held Thursday, Jan. 30 at the First Presbyterian Church in Winnebago, Rev. Daren Barnett officiated. Burial will be at a later date. Brian was born April 27, 1950 to Armund and Bernadine (Crowell) Eastman in Albert Lea. He attended and graduated from Wells-Easton High School in 1968 and then attended South Central Vocational School. He married LeAnn Redman on Nov. 30, 1974 in Freeborn. He held many jobs as a salesman in agriculture and it came very natural to him. He was a great storyteller and was always able to get and keep people's attention with his wit and sense of humor. Brian was also a giver, he supported his community by serving on the Freeborn and Gibbon Fire Department as a fireman and EMT, but it also went beyond that as he was always willing to help those in need on and off the "clock." He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church serving on the council and administration committee. He also enjoyed riding motorcycle, hunting and fishing.

He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, LeAnn; his son, Clint (Jessica) Eastman, of Winnebago; daughter, Cari (Doug) Jenkins, of Winnebago; grandchildren Tristan and Jerry Passe, Myla and Macy Eastman, Makenzie (Craig) Gartner, Makayla (Tyler) Nepp and Madeline Jenkins; great-grandchildren, Paxton, Elliot, Leeah and Anna; sister, Barbara Fuchs; brothers-in-law, Kevin Redman, and Doug (Barb) Redman; sister-in-law, Karen (Dave) Busta; father-in-law, Keith Redman as well as many nieces, nephews and close friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents; mother-in-law, Delight Redman; brother-in-law, Arlyn (Bud) Fuchs; sister-in-law, Elizabeth Redman and nephew Reid Weiland.

Memorials to UHD Hospice and the Winnebago Fire and Ambulance are preferred.
